The 2012 CRV drives better than you'd think...it will also take sharp turns at 35mph!
So I was driving and my Dad told me to turn but wait until he told me to...so I am listening to him and forgot to brake, so I'm like 'shit' and sharply turn, tires squealing, I was talking with my dad later and he said most people wouldn't have been able to complete a turn that sharp at that speed and would've ended up in the ditch.
It's not like I have been doing weeny driving...I've been busy highways at busy times...my ass is sore from being clenched for part of it. However, for my 2nd day as a driver I feel I have done well. (most people in my driver's ed class haven't been on the road yet, and I've been on busy highways!)

Just wait til your first snow drive. It's the most fun.

Wait, you've been driving for just 2 days?
Yikes, I'm old.

Are you on your Permit or are you actually licensed? I've been on highways but nothing busy yet.

Oh it's a glorious feeling, no more do we long of being able to control the car, no more must we be just a passenger (occasionally). WE ARE DRIVERS!

Agreed!
The feeling of driving (even just a Honda CUV) is amazing, being someone who wants to leave town for something better, driving is what's going to get me to my future and my life.

The Impreza is an amazing car to drive also. Just being able to drive is a great feeling, although I've yet to find that perfect seating position that's comfortable enough for my legs. I have long legs so I can't be really close to the wheel but also don't want to be in the back seat either.

I find I have to tilt the seat (power seats FTW) and telescope the steering wheel for me to be comfortable

I have to move the wheel up a bit and move the seat back. Sometimes I feel too close othertimes too far back. I just have to get that position right. If I'm too close my ankle begins to get sore from being at a weird angle.

I play around with my seating position too, I haven't found a perfect spot yet...this is also not my car, so I'm not too worried. I would be if it was what I would be stuck driving, because I have little interest DDing a Crossover, and the back support doesn't work just right for me

It's my mom's car anyway but when I drive I usually do at least an hour so I like to be comfortable but I can deal with it. I'll have to find that perfect position once I buy my own car though.

Thanks!
How do you like the GLI?

like is an understatement. I love my GLI! It combines the smoothness that I'm used to in the Jetta with the low-down torque-y power of the GTI, a perfect combination I feel.
I just gotta get used to it, like you gotta get used to the car you'll be buying once you're fully licensed!

When I started driving, little bit more than 3 years ago (Jeez, didn't realize it was so long), my parents would always tell me I took corners too fast. Haven't had an issue yet! Never squealed tires though.
